Mandile Family Tree

Over the past few years we've been compiling a family tree on our branch of the Mandile family from Filicudi.

As with many projects, the task has been more complicated than we anticipated, but we now have a reasonably accurate record of 6 generations of Mandiles, beginning with the parents of Giuseppina, Stefano, Giuseppe, Terzita and Assunta. If you're part of this family, you're welcome to request a copy of the family tree by using the form on our contact page.

We're also in touch with researchers who specialize in the history of the Aeolian Islands. Recently we received new data on the Mandiles which goes back another two generations to Vincenzo Mandile, who was born in Filicudi and died before 1844. This data will enable us to trace cousins who emigrated to North and South America.

Although we use a spreadsheet to create a simple graphical version of the tree, we keep our primary data in a software program called Legacy.
